Why it's in the Collection:

The two cushions are made by the master weaver, the late Susan Foster. Foster was a close friend of Grizedale Arts Secretary, Gordon Pitt.

 

About the Designer/Maker:

Foster was a weaver of international renown, with exhibited work in many private collections, including that of the Royal Family.
