The Birthplace of Quakerism

This book is intended to serve as a brief guide to the places of Quaker interest in the historic 1652 area. Within the small scope allowed, it cannot possibly exhaust its fascinating subject. If it tempts travellers to explore still further one of the loveliest and least known districts of England, sensing at the same time something of the inspiration which still lingers there after three hundred years of history, it will not have been written in vain.
