Claustrophobia

Claustrophobia developed from an enquiry into the prominence of the domestic in the work of contemporary artists in the 1990s. What emerged was a selection of works by artists from Australia, North and South america and Europe, which, when brought together for the first tim, could create intriguing pathways through the accoutrements of home.

This catalogue presents a collection of voices and ideas across fiction, social documentary, psychoanalysis, philosophy, poetry and art criticism.
