An elegy wrote in an English church yard

For this unique project, conceived and designed by Simon Morley, artist-in-residence, Jack Mapanje, has drawn on the epitaphs in Grasmere Churd yard, selected twenty-nine words to accompany twenty-nine photographic details of the backs of the lichen-covered gravestones there. An insightful essay by Dr. Robert Woof, Director of the Wordsworth Trust, develops and deepens the theme, and the result is an evocative Elegy wrote in an English Church Yard.
